THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON SMDCAC VOLUNTEERS!
South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center Volunteers provide much needed support to the Center by ushering at numerous performances and events per year, as well as by participating at various outreach and education, and community festival events.
Volunteering for the arts offers "instant karma"! Your contributions to SMDCAC give you "instant" opportunities to view and hear amazing music, theater, dance and performance art from world-renown artists and outstanding local artists alike.
We offer monthly orientations to get you started!
Please review the volunteer requirements, and contact us to become involved:
Volunteers are asked to participate a minimum of two times per month in order to qualify for special benefits and remain on our active list.
Minimum age to volunteer is 16-years old
While other opportunities are available, all volunteers must be willing to usher at performances and events.
Letters of community service hours will only be given to volunteers who have completed a minimum of 50 hours.
Court-mandated community service hours are not offered.
SMDCAC volunteers must enjoy working with people... have a helpful attitude... and must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center is a recognized certifying organization of the Presidential Service Awards.
