Virtuoso Cuban musician Pedro Alfonso, who has played with the likes of Gloria Estefan, Shakira and Juanes, and his group of musicians perform Tango Concept
as part of his world music series at South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. The shows happen Friday, February 1, 8:30pm and Saturday, February 2, 8:30pm and 10:30pm. Also performing in February is Siempre Flamenco with a flamenco and jazz fusion show called FlamenJazz Jam. The heat and passion of flamenco and the cool licks of jazz make way for an exciting journey of musical and dance dialogue, exploring connections between the two genres. Shows are Friday, February 22, 8:30pm; Saturday, February 23, 8:30pm and 10:30pm and Sunday, February 24, 3:30pm. The new Cabaret Series is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay.
